iAttendance - Great Attendance Tracker App Reviews

I am learning & utilizing its functions. The developer is very quick to respond to help assist you. I am on pastoral staff & have found it to be a great tool. I have recommended it to other pastors.

Be warned, after updating I found that ALL my data, everything is GONE! This app is not to be trusted. What a disaster.

I was really pleased with this app but opened it today and all the info I had in it disappeared. What a waste of time! If you cant trust it to keep your data then what is the point.

With the update it erased all my data.

I am glad to read that I am not the only person who opened their app and all of their data was gone. I thought I was loosing it. Unfortunately all of my tutoring data was there and now I do not have all my data for our academic review...I have some back up but I cannot remember everything from the notes section. Now I am feeling like I should have just kept paper records...anyway this app was great until it wiped all my info away...

I had high hopes for this app and by all outward appearances, it should have worked well. I am a high school band director that takes my kids on many bus trips each year. I liked having the feature of excusing students (like if they had a parent notepad school activity). I attendance could do all of that. The problem is in the update. Once I updated my os to 5.1 I couldnt back up or retrieve any of my data. I kept getting a warning error and my data was all lost! Imagine the frustration of loading a bus and all the parent excuse notes were gone as well as my entire roster!

I used this app for ministry attendance and it was great!! Unfortunately I lost all of my info and hard work. Although the developer could not get my info back, he was willing to assist with my back up (if I had one). He was also very helpful in ensuring this didnt happen again by educating me regarding backing up my info. I see he is also working on auto backup. While this app was working it was excellent and very easy to use! I am giving it another chance based solely on the customer service I received. I encourage others who have suffered a loss of info to do the same. I gave 4 stars and not 5 because of the loss info, however all is well now! Cant wait to begin using it again. **backing up daily** Thanks for caring about your customers!

I too lost my data with the update. Then I loaded it all back in - 40+ students, 8 classes and got 29 (out of 32) events loaded in. The app blinked and it was all gone again. I give up. I loved all the features it had, but dependability is key for me. Im going back to paper.

Loved the app until the update. Loss 2 months of Sunday school & Youth meeting attendance. I updated to V1.5. Now the problem is worse. If you close the app or turn off your phone all attendance info is deleted. I have to restore data almost every time I use this app. Going back to paper!

The interface is clunky and the data is stored in a very fragile, easily-lost fashion. Not recommended for anyone.

I loved this app because it did exactly what I needed it to do and the latest updates were great improvements. However, I have now lost all data for a third time in a row. Its no longer worth it to me to put the names back in yet again. Looking for a different app.

I really loved this app, but lost all data with the apple update. I thought I would give it a second chance but lost all data again when Iattendance came out with its own update. What a complete waste of money!!!

Great app but why do I keel losing my info. This is frustrating.

Was using this app to track my student appts off site and it lost a years worth of info. Ridiculous and frustrating, never using this app again. Developers are supposed to improve apps not allow data to erase when you update, at least that is what I what I would expect.

I teach Zumba classes, 7 of the, and this has made it so easy for me to keep track of people who attend. The great thing about is they can sign themselves in so I can handle the money, chat with customers and/ or set up my equipment. Thank you for a great app and listening to my requests for update ideas.

This is a very useful app. Only think lacking is the ability to print the report. If we could print the reports, this would be a 5 star app.

This app looks so good that I tried it for the 3rd time, but lost a lot of important data. Today I erased it and I will NEVER go back.

Does everything that I need and is easy to use and to back up

There is absolutely no persistence in the new version. I had backed up my data before updating, so I wasnt worried when it wasnt there. I imported it and went about my business. But the next time I opened the app, it wasnt there again. If I am going to have to export my data every time I use the app, and then import it the next time I want to use the app, then the app is worse than useless. Its a bigger pain to use than simply emailing myself whos there and whos not. There really arent very many good attendance apps out there. This one had potential, but this version killed it. They ask that you report bugs before leaving negative reviews. I did. I never got a response. So … Id steer clear of this one. Ive already deleted it.

Not only is the user interface on this app horrible, but the first time there is an app update you will loose all your data. Heed their data loss warning closely, since it is guaranteed. Back up often. In fact, just write everything down on a piece of paper. Its easier and more reliable.
